Shimooshili to represent Namibia at Fifa congress

Namibia Football Association (NFA) president Robert Shimooshili will lead a high-level delegation to Asunción, Paraguay for the 75th Fifa congress that takes place today and tomorrow.

Accompanying him on this important mission to represent Namibia at one of football’s most influential gatherings are NFA executive council member Joseph Hailombe and interim general secretary Cassius Moetie.

This high-profile event brings together FIFA’s member associations to shape the future of football worldwide.

NFA communications officer Isaack Hamata yesterday confirmed that Shimooshili and his team had left for Paraguay.

“Yes, he is going to be part of it, and he is accompanied by NFA executive council member Hailombe and interim GS, Moetie,” he said.

The Namibian delegation is expected to network with football powerhouses, and get valuable insights into global best-practices for the further development of local football.

This congress will be the sixth to be held in South America.
